Danka Nikolic was born in Belgrade. She studied at the University Mozarteum Salzburg and at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg. From 2005-2006 she was the assistant in the class of the prof. Thomas Riebl. Danka Nikolic is winner of numerous national and international competitions. She is a regular guest of international festivals as a soloist, as well as a chamber musician with renowned musicians as Eliot Fisk, Stefan Schilli, Juan Diego Florez, Juan Pérez Floristán, Paolo Bonomini, Pablo Barragán, Kirill Troussov, Thomas Selditz y Lukas Hagen. Danka Nikolic is member of Camerata Salzburg, where she also performs as solo viola, as well as solo viola of Deutsche Kammerakademie Neuss. She performs regularly with orchestras such as Chamber Orchestra of Europe and Balthasar-Neumann Ensemble (baroque viola). Among other orchestras, Danka Nikolic has also performed with the NDR Sinfonierchester, Ensembe Resonanz, Mahler Chamber Orchestra and Kammerorchester Basel (solo viola) Chamber Orchestra of Paris (solo viola). She is founding member of the “Trio Schallmoos” and music director of the International Chamber Music Festival of Isla Cristina.

Danka Nikolic is also a very required interpret of baroque viola and viola d’amore.
